Al Madrasa organizes Inter Primary School Competition to celebrate Aqa Moula's TUS 95th Milad Mubarak

Al Madrasa Tus Saifiyah Tul Burhaniya Dar es Salaam had arranged Inter Primary School Quiz programme on Saturday, May 13th on the open ground of Annadil Burhani to celebrate Aqa Maula's (TUS) 95th Milad Mubarak.
Hundreds of Mumineen along with other invited community members were kept spell-bound throughout the evening by the ability and performance of participants, colourful costumes, lighting, sound system, judgement, punctuality and the overall set up. The event was conducted by muraquebeen and teachers of Al Madrasa. A panel of three judges was appointed to officiate the event.
This programme was labelled as learning outside the walls of a classroom. Seven prominent schools participated in this event which was first of its kind in the community. Following schools contested in the programme: Al Madrasa Tus Saifiyah Tul Burhaniyah from Nairobi, Al Muntazir Boys Primary School, Al Muntazir Girls Primary School, Good Samaritan English Medium School, Little Angels Primary School, Shree Hindu Mandal Primary School and the host, Al Madrasa Tus Saifiyah Tul Burhaniya.
The programme started with Tilawate Quran-e-Majid followed by Qasida Mubarak and Ya Sayyeda Shohada. Welcoming the chief guest of honour, Janaab Aamilsaheb Sheikh Tayabali Sheikh Hamzabhai Patanwalla and the audience, the Masool, Sheikh Yunusbhai Vajihee offered Tehniyat of the 95th Milad Mubarak in Hazrat Imamiyah Nuraniyah and elaborated on the philosophy of seeking knowledge in Islam and endeavours by Aqa Maula (TUS) towards creating educational establishment that incorporates the traditional approaches to education with the best that contemporary education has to offer.
The stage was lit up with a myriad of colors and costumes when Nursery section pupils offered tehniyat in Hazrat Aaliyah and prayed for the long and healthy life of Aqa Maula (TUS). Madrasa's marsiyah party recited madeh in their melodious voice.
The Secretary, Sheikh Muslimbhai Kismayuwalla thanked all the schools for participating in this auspicious Milad Mubarak celebration. Al Madrassa Tus Saifiyah Tul Burhaniyah (Dar es Salaam) emerged winners with 175 points followed by Al Muntazir Boys Primary School with 145 points.
Concluding the event, the chief guest, Janaab Aamilsaheb, addressed the gathering by offering tehniyat in Hazrat Imamiyah and praised the management, muraquebeen, teachers and participants for making this event a big success. He presented certificates to all the participants and trophies to the winners. The event concluded with wazifa tus shukur.

Almadrasa was second runner up in the INTERPRIMARY SCHOOL QUIZ COMPETITION (CHILD GENIUS 2005) held at Ismaili jamaat khana (upanga) on 1st October2005. 7 schools had participated in the competition.

Ismaili Youth & Sports Committee has organized a Child Genius Competition on 01st October 2005.
A preliminary quiz was conducted in MSB by a Form II student, Juzer Hassuji on the criteria mentioned by the quiz organizers.
The pupils selected to represent Al Madrasa are:
- Std VII - Hussein Yusufali
- Std VI - Huzefa Morbiwalla
- Std VI - Zainab Vejlani

Competition 3rd Term
Every Year we encourage pupils to participate in various programmes organized by other schools and institutions as well as our in house activites.
The aim of this is to promote the use of English language through fun filled activities and enable our young pupils to compete on par with peers from other communities.
We have participated in 6 competition todate.
Our next competition is the commonwealth essay competition. This competition aspires our pupils to enhance communication skills and creative writing. There are four categories.
- Class A: 16-18yrs Form III & IV
- Class B: 14-15 yrs Form I & II
- Class C: 12-13yrs Std 6 & 7
- Class D: Under 12yrs Std 3, 4 & 5
Parents are encouraged to stimulate the pupils into participating enthusiastically.

Lisanud Dawat Skit

To inculcate social skills, confidence, oratory capabilities and to aspire our pupils to high standard of language usage – Kiswahili, English and Lisanud Dawat, we have now introduced skits on a competitive basis as a part of the monthly co-curricular activities.
Teacher: Khadijaben Mulla A. Zaki
Class: Std V / VI
Pupils of Class V / VI were given topic on “Adaab” on which they had to prepare a skit. In the preliminary round, the performance was not up to standard and they were advised and asked to review their plays and improve on them. In the final round the scores were as follows:
